  • Adam Coberley - I toured the schools with the janitorial staff, and I saw first hand the need for new schools for our kids.

  • Susan Jurgensen - My Children are Third Generation Students in the Banks School District. I really would love to see them in a safe and healthy environment so they can focus on their education.

  • Bill Schlegel - Students at the junior and senior high schools deserve the same modern facilities currently enjoyed at the elementary school. It makes no sense to keep pouring tax dollars into facilities that have run their course.

  • Lynda Goovaerts - It is time for the citizens of Banks to step up and support a school bond. It is time to stop spending thousands of dollars each year on patching, repairing and getting by. The students and teachers of Banks School District deserve better. There is only one choice here - support the bond.

  • Duane Lundsten - I have had the privilege of working with a great team of dedicated volunteers to assess and evaluate the facilities of Banks School District. Through countless hours of volunteer research, significant professional consulting, and input from teachers and staff, it is clear to me that NOW is the time to invest in the future of our community. I urge you to get out and vote YES for our schools. -Duane Lundsten, Board Chair

  • Carol Narum - There is nothing more important as citizens than to support our schools, not only for our children and their education, but also for the value of property in Banks. Our children and the community deserve updated, new facilities and not the waste of money on continuous repairs. Please consider supporting the Bond.

  • Will Moore - As a parent of three kids who have or are attending Banks schools and a member of the Banks school board I have seen first hand the acute need for these new facilities in order to continue to provide a safe, quality education for our kids and greater opportunities for them in the future. Banks school district can provide a better education and more opportunities for our kids than any other school in the state of Oregon with the continued commitment of our community and facilities like those proposed in this bond measure. This measure has been developed through thorough evaluation of district and community needs by a dedicated team of community volunteers and expert advisors. It will serve vital needs for all of the students, parents and members of this district and community very well. I strongly urge your support for this bond measure.

  • Michael Geraci - It's time for the people of Banks to take a leadership role among our small town peers and demonstrate our collective commitment to our future and our kids' future. Let's make something that does us all proud.

  • Jennifer Bailey - As a 1988 alumni, I take great pride in being a Brave. As a civil engineer, it is important for me to communicate that the older sections of our junior high are an earthquake hazard. Scoring a -1.0 (1-11 scale) indicates the right thing to do is replace these now. I also toured the high school facilities and was shocked at what 20 years of aging and growth can do (a look in the mirror should have warned me)! Please join me in voting YES to pass the Banks School District Bond on November 4th!

  • Scott Bailey - My family has made the Banks community its home since the 1880's. Three generations have used our current facilities. Some of the buildings predate this attendance and the heating systems date back to the 20's. The space added in the 50's and 60's to house the baby boom were cheaply constructed and did not anticipate Banks' continued growth. Proceeds from this bond will not only provide safer, larger facilities but they will also be used to create a master plan that will enable the district to continue to plan for the future. If you are not convinced that this bond is needed, take a tour.

  • Judy Zimmerman - Strong schools make for a thriving community. Our children deserve modern facilities. Help our district to be cost efficient over the long haul. A vote in favor of the bond is a vote for the goodness of our children's future.

  • Christy Greagor - My kids are still in the elementary school but if the Jr. High and High school are this bad now, what will it be like 2-3 years from now when they are starting the upper grades. I have a daughter that has extreme asthma, with the conditions in the Jr. High and High school, I am very worried about her health attending them. Children should not be afraid of getting sick when going to school. This is long over due and up to us to make it happen.
